Installation - How do we install the directory system in our building?

Installing our directory systems is simple using our component system. The directory can easily be installed by property staff into security desks, walls, or free-standing enclosures.

ADA - Are your directories ADA compliant?

Yes, all TouchSource directories are ADA compliant for wheelchair access.

Size - How big is the directory system?

We have many installation options available including free-standing kiosks, desktop directories, surface-mounted cabinets, and flush-mounted or partially recessed enclosures. We can help you replace an outdated directory or utilize any space you require by creating a custom-sized enclosure to meet your needs.

Other Information - What other information can we display on the directory system?

In addition to offering the expected lists of companies and individuals, our directory also makes other information available. Standard with the system are options for displaying leasing and property management information, as well as local area amenities. The area amenities can include business services on site, restaurants in the area, shops and other convenience services for visitors to the building. The list of amenities can be provided as a service by the property manager, or space on the amenities list can be sold to local businesses, helping generate additional revenues. Our directory system may also feature site maps, wayfinding, television, TSLive news and weather feed, LEED information, available space listings and more.

Warranty - What happens if it breaks down?

We offer an unparalleled warranty on hardware and software:

*If your system goes down, we will fix it or replace it at no additional charge for 2 years!
We'll ship you the replacement system (with your data already loaded), just ship the broken unit back to us in the box the new one arrived in.
The warranty on directories purchased with an enclosure is two years. When installing one of our component systems in your own enclosure, the warranty is one year. Extended warranties are also available!

Upgrades - How do I get the most recent software features?

Because most of our directories have internet connectivity, We can easily provide software upgrades and technical support. Using our remote access software means that when new features become available, we can easily add it to your directory system.

Logos - Can we show graphics and logos with our tenant list?

Our system includes full support for high resolution graphics, photos and logos. Each company listing on the directory can include a small graphic logo for the tenant, helping to increase the company's image and brand awareness. Company logos can be offered as a complimentary service by the property manager or the logo can be added as an extra cost to the tenants. All logos must be submitted to RedyRef as a .jpg image, and will be scaled by us to fit the space available on the screen.

Networking - Can we hook the directory up to our existing network?

The RedyRef system is completely compatible with most Windows and Novell-based networks. With the networking feature, multiple directories can be easily connected in large buildings, or in multiple building complexes.

The system supports both 10 base-T and 100 base-T thin Ethernet, allowing for wiring using industry standard CAT5 cabling, terminated with an RJ45 adapter.

Internet - Can the system work with the Internet?

Web kiosk interface: In addition to being able to update a tenant list through our web site, the RedyRef software is also compatible with web technology at the directory itself. We offer options for web access, including features such as localized weather forecasts, sports scores and stock prices of interest to your tenants. Surf restrictions prevent access to unauthorized or inappropriate web sites.

Limits to Names - Is there a limit to the number of names we can put on the directory?

There is no limit to the number of names that our Directory System can handle. This feature makes the system perfect for large office buildings, multi-building office parks, offices with executive suites, and offices where tenants have a large number of individual listings, such as law firms. Of course, the property manager always has the option of charging extra to tenants who exceed a certain number of individual listings.

Power & Data Requirements – What type of power and internet connection is required and where?

All RedyRef systems require standard 110 Volt power. Most systems have a power strip inside the directory enclosure, which all electronic components plug into, then the power strip will plug into a power receptacle supplied by the customer.

Additionally, if using web-based updating or TSLive, customer will supply a Cat5 Internet connection with RJ45 connector in same location as power receptacle. Please request “CUT SHEET” from RedyRef on the product you are interested in and it will show power & data location.
